brev got to play his first round of golf on sunday evening with his parents! what a hoot...matt rigged him up so he fit on the floor of the golf cart in his carseat. i think we got pretty lucky because he only fussed once or twice....(this is a local public course, Applegate Valley - we assumed they wouldn't mind :)) my boy is on another eating binge...his little cheeks are filling out along with his thighs. gotta run. it's our bed time! love from the hill's.

1 year for mommy and daddy!

we celebrated our one year anniversary last night! never been more in love with the man...knowing the guy since i was a little squirt still feels like yesterday's love! was fun to reflect on the wedding, friends and our families. matt surprised me with a beautiful new digital Canon Rebel - something i've wanted for years and now with Brev, i wanted even more to capture all those special moments...we enrolled into photography class that starts in October. the secret is knowing how to use the darn thing, ha! we went to jacksonville, small historic town about 20 minutes away, went wine tasting and then dinner. it felt great to be matt and kelle!!! matt finally bought a practice this past weekend from a dear family friend.

we hosted a couple's baby shower at my mom's house. we had just about all our friends from portland here! it was SOOO very fun. saturday the boy's went rafting and the girl's went wine tasting. the party started about 3pm and lasted until about 3am...my mom watched brev so i could cut loose. i payed for it on sunday am, probably won't be doing that again any time soon. brev got some adorable clothes, hats, play items, books, etc. it was sad to see everyone return back north. we always love having our friends down here to share Grants Pass with. my mom did a beauitful job with everything. she's the best!!!!

brev and izaak finally were able to meet! it's been SO fun to see them together. it's going to be so special to have them grow up together. izaak is moving to boston for 2 years while his daddy does his post-doctorate, so we'll look forward to when they are in Oregon visting and move home permanently. :) check out the size difference - especially the thighs! :) tooo cute. we didn't even plan them to wear the same outfit. we just showed up and they were matching.

we've had our hands full with parties this past few weeks. first was auntie jenny's 30 birthday, we celebrated in her parents backyard with mile high nachos - they were super tasty. then, we had uncle ryan's graduation party from UC Berkeley, he's finally done with his PhD, we now have another doctor hill in the family. then, we had auntie katie's 34th birthday party the same night. then, Brev had his own party. we hosted a couple's baby shower at my mom's house...so, the hill clan is partied out until next weekend where we'll go up to corvallis for cousin Izaak's "baby kegger" party! brev's second smile caught on camera. we were in the grocery store and i thought it was an acccidental smile however he kept doing it for me. was SO adorable and emotional...poor dad missed the magical first smile. grandpa bill (my dad) holding brev at auntie jenny's 30th birthday party.

this is a little dated but time just sneaks away from you! we took brev to his very first duck football game on august 30th. we lasted about 1 minute inside the stadium, was WAY too loud for the little man. i put him in his ergo, had ear plugs but it just didn't feel right. the second half of the game we watched in the club lounge - a lot better for us both! matt won and got to dress brev in duck gear before beaver gear - boooo!!!! mom pushing brev to the game.
